CRO Institute: Messenger

I don’t want to be an echo, I want to be a voice.

I want something so real and so alive on the inside, that when I talk about God, lies would be dethroned, arguments would be destroyed, accusations would be removed, and people would be encountered at the heart level.

This desire has gripped me for the last 25 years, and I know that same desire has plagued you also. You don't want to just parrot someone else's message of God, and you don't want to dance around someone else's fire. You want your own fire of encounter with God, and out of that place, be a voice that provokes the same desire in others.

God is raising up messengers in these days. They're not called to be an echo of someone else's message, but voices that have been formed in the wilderness of prayer and fasting, voices that have gone deep in the Word of God, voices that have had encounters with Jesus, and out of the overflow of those encounters will prepare the earth for the second coming of Jesus.

In this course, we will comb through Isaiah 40 to look at both the message and the type of messenger God prophesied He would raise up before His second coming. We will discuss the lifestyle and the fundamental disciplines that form voices, not echoes. And we will see how God uses weak people, connects them to His promises, and turns them from flickering flames to burning and shining lamps that shape history.
